Veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad has penned several stories and scripts in his career spanning over three decades. And he became popular for penning the story and script for the magnum opus – Baahubali: the Beginning and Baahubali: the Conclusion – which turned out to be the biggest hits in the history of Indian cinema.

According to sources, Vijayendra Prasad has been roped in to pen the story and script for a movie that will be based on the rise and glory of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Reports are that the project will have the backing of the national political party and the current ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party. Sources say that the project will be financed by the BJP and the budget allocated for it is a whopping Rs. 100 crores.

The film will highlight the struggles, achievements, and glories of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) that was instrumental in nurturing and churning out some of the able politicians in India. According to the buzz about this project, several top stars from the Hindi film industry will be roped in to play the lead characters.

He is currently associated with the Bollywood movie titled Manikarnika, which has Kangna Ranaut playing the female lead. The film is being directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. It is an epic biographical film based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Kangana Ranaut is all set to play the role of the legendary queen in this magnum opus.  The film is facing lots of controversy, and was also accused of tampering Rani Laxmibai’s image by alleged wrong portrayal of the warrior. The writer Vijayendra Prasad said that the film does not portray Rani Laxmibai’s character in a bad way at all. It also has Jisshu Sengupta, Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Vaibhav Tatwawaadi in the star cast.

He has not only worked in Tollywood but in Bollywood, Sandalwood, and Kollywood as well. The ace writer has films such as Kurubana Rani (Kannada), Pandu Ranga Vittala (Kannada), Jaguar (Kannada & Telugu), Mersal (Tamil) and Vijay’s upcoming film Vijay 62 (Tamil) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Hindi).
