It may be noted, earlier the director Subbaraj had confirmed approaching Hollywood star Al Pacino for a crucial role in the film. As per the industry grapevine, the pre-production work was completed a long time ago but the project couldn’t take off as the makers couldn’t get Pacino’s dates when they approached him for the first time. Therefore, the project was put on the back-burner and both Dhanush and Subbaraj moved on to their other commitments.
According to sources, Dhanush who had completed dubbing for Enai Noki Paayum Thota which is hitting the screens this week, will be joinign the sets of Karthik Subbaraj’s film this week and the movie will be shot in a single schedule. Reports say that Dhanush plays an Indian gangster in the film and he will be clashing against a gangster from Europe.
The makers have roped in Aishwarya Lekshmi as the leading lady and she’s thrilled to be a part of this prestigious project. This will be Aishwarya’s second Tamil out as she is already a part of filmmaker Sundar C's upcoming project Action starring Vishal and is in the post-production stage. The rest of the cast will be officially announced in due course. Santhosh Narayanan has been roped in to compose music while Shreyaas Krishna will crank the camera.
