Keerthy Suresh’s next outing will be Miss India, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual directed by the debut director Narendra Nath. It is an interesting film that will have the award winning actor appearing in multiple looks. Reports are that Keerthy underwent several trials to finalise her look in the film. And that is not all as the actor also took up a crash course in fashion to help her get into the skin of the character that she is playing in Miss India.

Speaking about the actor, director Narendra Nath has said in an interview to the Deccan Chronicle, “For each look, she had around 10 look tests; as there are multiple looks in the film, she had to sit through more than 50 look tests overall to get the right look for her role. And honestly, her knack of effortlessly slipping into the character really surprises me. She was quick to understand the emotional arch her character goes through, and accordingly, got accustomed to the look. She was very patient and never had any airs.”

Keerthy Suresh is also gearing up for her Bollywood debut with Maidaan. She is paired opposite Ajay Devgn in this film directed by Amit Sharma. The film is bankrolled jointly by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta under their respective banners. Keerthy Suresh had completed shooting for her portions in the first schedule and will be joining the team for the second schedule.

Besides Maidaan, Keerthy has a female-centric multi-lingual film Penguin produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. The title and the first look of the film were revealed recently.

She also has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, a Malayalam magnum opus in which she shares the screen space with Mohanlal. The film is directed by the award-winning director Priyadarshan. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, made on a budget of Rs 100 crores, is produced jointly by Antony Perumbavoor, Santhosh T Kuruvilla and CJ Roy under their respective banners Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment.

There are also reports that Keerthy Suresh has been signed as the leading lady for Ajith Kumar’s new film Valimai. Directed by H Vinoth which marks his second collaboration with producer Boney Kapoor, it was recently launched and its regular shooting will commence from December.
