The massive success of Rajamouli's Baahubali spread overseas and even reached Japan, and the second film in the series had a successful 100-day run in the country in January. Needless to say, actor Prabhas has fans not only from India but also from Japan who occasionally express their love for the star through postcards and letters from Japan.

But much to the surprise of the star, a group of Japanese women, who were on a tour of Hyderabad and are die-hard fans of the actor, landed at Prabhas’s doorstep recently to get a glimpse of the star. A photo of the women posing in front of Prabhas’s house, all dressed in Indian attire, has now gone viral on social media.

This is not the first time that Prabhas has received love from Japan after the mammoth success of the Baahubali franchise. Last year, the actor was greeted with letters from all over Japan which was sent to him through a person close to him in Hyderabad. Bowled by their love, Prabhas sent personalised autographed souvenir portraits in return in time for the New Year. The cards had Prabhas’ latest photo shoot images with the message: “I hope you have a Happy New Year!” written in Japanese.

It was also reported that tourists from Japan keep visiting the actor’s house in Hyderabad. Prabhas is reportedly planning to arrange a meet and greet for his Japanese fans before the trailer launch of his upcoming film Saaho.

Post the success of the Baahubali films, Prabhas commenced his next project Saaho, which is due for release on August 15. Directed by Sujeeth, it has Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead opposite Prabhas. The film also has Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma and Jackie Shroff in supporting roles. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are composing music for this flick with R Madhie as the cinematographer and A Sreekar Prasad as the editor.
