Tollywood star Mahesh Babu is producing a web series titled Charlie. It will be directed by director Hussain Sha Kiran of Meeku Meere Maaku Meme fame. Eight episodes of this web series will be shot for season one.

Scripting has been done completely and the director is now all set to begin the shooting. Reports are that the shooting will commence after Mahesh Babu’s approval.

Apart from producing this web series, the star is also keen on producing films through his banner. He intends to give an opportunity to talented youngsters through his production ventures, say sources. Also, he recently ventured into the multiplex business in association with Asian Cinemas.

With too many things to handle, Mahesh Babu is busy with his acting assignment Maharshi right now. Directed by Vamsi Paidapally, the film is bankrolled jointly by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt and PVP.

It is a high budget project with a major portion of it being shot in the United States. The film is about three friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. It also has veteran actor Jayapradha playing a pivotal role.

Reports are that its lead star Mahesh Babu will be appearing in five different get-ups in the film and that the transition of his character will be from a college student to an entrepreneur.

Maharshi will be hitting the marquee in April 25th as a summer release. The film was originally planned as a Sankaranthi release and then postponed to April 9th and now to April 25th.

Soon after he is done with Maharshi, Mahesh Babu will be joining hands with director Sukumar for a new project. This film will be out at the theatres in 2020.

Both Sukumar as well as Mahesh Babu are basking in glory over their respective last releases – Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu doing well at the box office. News that the duo will be teaming up for a new project surfaced long ago and fans are waiting eagerly for more info on it.
