Mammootty is teaming up with Sharrath Sandith for his upcoming film. Incidentally, Sharrath and Mammootty share a very good rapport with the former directing the latter in the South Indian Bank ads while he was serving as its brand ambassador. Sharrath, a popular ad filmmaker, will be making his debut as a film director with this Mammootty starrer.

The film went on to the floors a couple of days ago (June 14th, 2017) in Bengaluru with Mammootty joining in. Reports say that Sharrath will have a 25-day schedule in the city before moving to other locations. Miya George has been roped in as one of the heroines for this yet to be titled flick while the search is on for the other leading lady.

Director Sharrath is planning this film as a complete entertainer and it will be of a new genre to film buffs, we hear. Apparently, Mammootty characterisation is intense and fans would simply love this performance-oriented role, add sources.

Mammootty has had two releases this year – The Great Father and Puthan Panam – both of which did good business at the box office. The first schedule of his next with director Ajai Vasudev, titled Masterpiece, is halfway through.

Apart from these projects, Mammootty has also wrapped up Shyamdhar’s Oridathoru Rajakumaran in which he plays the title role. The film is in the post production stage and its release date is yet to be announced officially.

Mammootty also four other films in his kitty which will have directors K Madhu, Vysakh, Sethu and Nadirshah wielding the megaphone.
