The Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s fans may not want to hear the news that their idol would be taking a break from films but that is likely to happen, say sources in the tinsel town. Apparently, the star is keen on strengthening his political outfit Jana Sena as he had announced that they would be contesting in the 2019 elections. Pawan did say that he would contest from the Anantapur district and is in the process of choosing the right constituency that would guarantee his win.

The decision not to do a film after this current venture with director Trivikram Srinivas comes after he realised that it hindered his political aspirations. Sources close to Pawan Kalyan say that his acting schedules did not allow him to concentrate on politics; therefore, he has decided not to do any movies for now. However, there is no official confirmation about this from the star himself. Meanwhile, Pawan is gearing up to tour various districts in the state to strengthen his party and gauge the reaction of the public.

Pawan’s elder brother, Mega Star Chiranjeevi announced that he would quit movies after venturing into politics with his party Praja Rajyam a decade ago. However, he wound up the party to merge it with the Congress and later revoked his decision on acting to star in his 150th film Khaidi No 150.

The Power Star is currently busy with the Trivikram Srinivas’ directorial which has not been titled yet. The film’s shooting commenced recently and the shooting is underway at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Starring Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emmanuel as the female leads, the film is produced by S Radhakrishna under the banner Haarika and Hassinee Creations. Reports are that the film is most likely to be titled Engineer Babu.
