Actor Ram Charan Teja who is enjoying the success of Rangasthalam urged his producers to refrain from publishing the box-office collections of his films henceforth.

Stating that the trend of revealing the figures and promoting the film show a negative impact on the numbers, the actor requested the producers against doing so.

“I personally want to take a stand. I request all my producers to never again put any numbers on my posters in the future,” he said.

According to him, by displaying numbers, fans of different actors often end up sparring with each other, ensuing in much trolling on social media.

He added, “These numbers wouldn’t show the satisfaction of a few people who appreciate your film and say that it is a good film. So, I am personally taking a stand and won’t display the numbers of my own productions or my films with other production houses. These are unnecessarily creating controversies. We all actors are very good friends. And we want the fans also to be friendly, in a healthy atmosphere with healthy competition.”

He also asked other stars to come forward and request production houses to not display their movies’ numbers.

The actor was interacting with media persons at a promotional event.

Rangasthalam, directed by Sukumar, gave the actor’s career a much-needed boost, following a couple of duds.

The film has completed 50 days in the country and is enjoying success in the US as well.

Rangasthalam also marked the actor’s first film to be based in a rural area and his portrayal of Chitti Babu earned him much praise.

SS Rajamouli, the director of Bahubali, too praised the actor. The ace director will helm the actor’s next film, which is a multi-starrer. The film is also touted to star Junior NTR.

Ram Charan is also producing Sye Raa, starring his father, mega star Chiranjeevi. This is his second production after Khaidi No 150, which marked his father’s re-entry to films.
