Malayalam actor Shane Nigam and producer Joby George have finally ironed out their differences and agreed to settle the dispute between them.
The two buried the hatchet after Joby apologised to the actor following their public spat over Shane changing his hairstyle during the shooting of Joby’s film Veyil.
According to reports, a representative assigned by AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) will mediate in the event of any future disagreements between the two.
Shane will also resume working for Veyil from November 16, after completing a movie titled Qurbani on November 10.
Earlier this week, Shane had taken to Instagram claiming that he was being threatened by Joby George. The actor, in an emotional live video, said that the producer intimidated him for changing his hairstyle during the shoot of his film Veyil.
Joby also reacted to Shane’s claims stating that the actor had violated his contract for Veyil, which required him to retain his hair and beard until the shooting ended.
The producer also alleged that Shane had come on board for the movie after charging Rs 30 lakh. However once the shoot began, he changed this rate and demanded Rs 40 lakh for acting in the film.
According to reports that have quoted AMMA, disputes regarding payments have been settled between Shane and Joby. The actor will be paid an advance of Rs 16 lakh for the film with the total remuneration being Rs 40 lakh.
A meeting was held where the two shook hands to show that their differences were resolved. Shane also added that he had only made the issue public because his mother and manager were dragged into it. Joby apologised to Shane's family during the meet.
Shane added that though he would complete Veyil with Joby, he would not be signing any more projects with the Joby George in the future.
