A few days after he walked out of a TV9 interview when he was asked about the Suchi Leaks controversy, Dhanush has reportedly expressed regret about his actions.
The actor is quoted to have said, “It was silly of me, I am generally a calm person, but I did react in a way I shouldn’t have. My intention was clear. I didn’t want to answer the question. But the strong reaction was unwarranted. Actually, I haven't slept for two weeks since I was busy with my upcoming film.”
Dhanush is also believed to have said that looking back, he was also surprised by his reaction and that he should have asked the journalist to move on to the next question. Dhanush was on TV9 to promote his upcoming film VIP 2 when the journalist asked him about the Suchi Leaks controversy.
Dhanush was clearly annoyed when she asked him about the videos and photographs that were doing the rounds. When the journalist persisted and asked him if it was true that his family life was at stake, Dhanush walked out, calling it "a very stupid interview".
The actor-director was among the celebrities who were targeted by singer and RJ Suchitra's Twitter handle which sent out a series of nude photographs and videos, allegedly that of celebrities, in March this year. The singer later claimed that the account had been hacked, although no arrests were made.
Dhanush had maintained silence about the issue. However, his sister put up an emotional Facebook post, telling people that the family had been badly affected by the scandal.
