The Telugu movie F2: Fun and Frustration is all set to be remade in Hindi. Announcing it on the social media, a tweet from the production house Sri Venkateswara Creations reads: “Delighted to announce about our foray into Bollywood. We will be teaming up with Mr. Boney Kapoor to jointly produce the Hindi remake of #F2. Mr. Anees Bazmee will be directing the film. Other cast and crew details will be announced shortly.”

It is confirmed that Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations and Boney Kapoor will be jointly bankrolling the venture. The remake will be directed by Anees Bazmee who is well known for directing comedy entertainers. With the announcement about the remake, movie buffs wonder who will be reprising the roles done by Venkatesh and Tammannah Bhatia in the original. Well, to know more about the rest of the star cast and crew for this remake, we have to wait for an official word from its makers.
While Venkatesh and Varun Tej play the heroes, it has Tammannah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada as their female leads. Devi Sri Prasad had composed music for F2 and the songs in it turned out to be massive hits. F2: Fun and Frustration has been bankrolled by ace producer Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. It was made on a budget of Rs. 30 crore and went on to enter the Rs 100 crore club. Dil Raju and Anil Ravipudi have already announced that there will be a sequel, F3 and apart from Venkatesh and Varun Tej, they are planning to rope in an another hero to join the sequel.
Boney Kapoor is foraying into south films with the Tamil remake of Pink starring Ajith, directed by H. Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. While Ajith will reprise Amitabh Bachchan’s character, the remake will also star Vidya Balan, Adhik Ravichandran and Rangaraj Pandey in crucial roles. He has also acquired the southern language remake rights of Bollywood family entertainer Badhaai Ho starring Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Sanya Malhotra, which released last year.
