Composer turned actor Vijay Antony, who is basking in the success of his latest film Pichaikaran has almost completed shooting for his next ‘Yemen’, directed by Jeeva Shankar.
Touted to be a political action thriller, the film is expected to be an out-and-out action entertainer, where Vijay Antony will be seen as an action hero for the first time, and he will be taking on politicians. The film features Miya George as the female lead and Prashanth’s father Thiyagarajan plays the baddie.
The films' musical score is being composed by Vijay Antony himself.
On Monday, a single track "Yem Mela Kai Vachaa Gaali" from the movie was launched during the Tamil Nadu Premier League match of Kovai vs Tirunelveli.
Crooned by Hemachandra and penned by Annamalai and Chetan MC (Rap), the single track has taken the internet by storm. His song “Nakka Mukka” remains a landmark of his career after which there are high expectations from him.
The project is bankrolled by Lyca Productions who have spent a huge amount in the making of this film.
Vijay Antony's next release is Saithan where he plays a software engineer.
