Producer and filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth got married to businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi on Monday in a ceremony that saw the who’s who of Kollywood and politics attend and give the couple their blessing. And on Monday evening, the happy bride shared some photos from her wedding, with a lovely message for her husband and son.

Soundarya took to Twitter, and sharing photos from her wedding ceremony, she wrote, “#Mr&Mrs #MyFamily #WeAreOne #VedVishaganSoundarya”. She shared along with this message a closeup shot of her and Vishagan during one of the wedding ceremonies.

Among the three photos she shared was also one with her father, actor and politician Rajinikanth, and mother, Latha. While her mother can be seen holding her newlywed daughter’s hand, getting emotional, Rajinikanth is captured placing his hand lovingly on Soundarya’s cheek. Another photo shows her son from her first marriage, Ved, sitting on her lap.

Apart from these, Soundarya also posted a photo with her makeup and hair artists, Prakruthi Ananth and Kiara, respectively. She thanked them both in the tweet.

Soundarya and Vishagan got married on Monday at the Leela Palace Hotel in Chennai. The wedding was attended by a number of prominent personalities in Tamil Nadu, like Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, actor-politician Kamal Hassan, actors Aditi Rao Hyadri, Andrea Jeremiah, Manjima Mohan, Mohan Babu, and filmmaker Mani Ratnam, among many others.

Soundarya’s brother-in-law Dhanush and sister Aishwarya were also in attendance.

The wedding took place around 9 am, and Soundarya wore a green and red silk saree, and Vishagan wore a traditional white and gold silk attire.

The couple changed for the reception held after the wedding for family and business friends. While the bride wore a beautiful pink and gold saree, the groom wore a white shirt and veshti with a blue border along with a silk angavashtram.

This was reportedly followed by a cocktail party in the evening.
