Balasubramanium has written to the battalion chiefs to send the names of the most efficient police staff under the age of 30 for the operation, Manorama Online reported. Meanwhile, there have been intelligence reports that 23 female Maoist fighters who were active in north Indian states have entered Kerala. The ladies who have entered the state include Shaina, a Keralite, and Sundari for whom a bounty had been declared. The reports suggest that they are active in the forests near the border areas of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The ladies have been brought to befriend the women and children living in these forest areas, reports add. It has also been said that the Maoists have received high end weapons including AK47s.
