The Kerala High Court on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the delay in concluding the case and asked actor-director Nadirshah to appear before the police on Friday for interrogation and cooperate with them.

Saying why the probe was going on like an endless film script, the court asked, “Is it meant to satisfy someone,” reports Manorama Online.

The court made the observation while considering the anticipatory bail application moved by Nadirshah.

Nadirshah is a close confidante of actor Dileep who has been arrested and is housed at Aluva sub-jail.

Justice P Ubaid criticised the police for prolonging the probe in the case.

The incident of abduction and assault took place in a moving car in Ernakulam on February 17. The court pointed out that the investigation began in February and is still continuing.

The director general of prosecutions submitted that the investigation into the case would be completed in two weeks.

The court wanted to know if some accused were being questioned repeatedly and also directed Nadirshah to cooperate with the investigation.

Court has also ordered police to maintain status quo until it hears the bail plea again on Monday.

On September 7, Nadirshah had moved the court seeking anticipatory bail.

He had approached the court with the petition that the investigating team probing the case was threatening to book him in the case.

He had even maintained that he was innocent and had no role in the crime.

Nadirshah was previously interrogated by the team in June for over 13 hours.
