The much awaited SSLC results of March 2019 for Kerala was announced on Monday and the State secured an impressive pass percentage of 98.11 percent. Announcing the results to the press, Secretary of the General Education Department A Shahjahan observed that there was a 0.27 increase in the pass percentage from academic year 2017-18.

About 4,34,729 students wrote the exam this year in 2939 centres spread across Kerala, Gulf and Lakshadweep. Out of these 4,26, 513 students are eligible for college education as they have passed the exams.

“No student has received moderation this year and no results of any student has been withheld,” the Education Secretary announced.

As for the best and worst performing revenue districts in Kerala, Pathanamthitta clocked the highest pass percent of 99.33 percent while Wayanad was at the lowest at 93.22 percent. Wayanad has been one of the more neglected and backwards districts in the State.

Kuttanad in Alappuzha was the best performing educational district with a pass percentage of  99.9 percent.

In the Gulf, 6 out of the 9 centres have secured a 100 percent pass percentage while in Lakshadweep, the number stands at 87.96 percent.

Malappuram was the district which recorded the highest number of students who secured A plus in all subjects. The count stands at 2943.

As the Model Code of Conduct is still in place, A Shahjahan announced the results instead of Education Minister C Raveendranath.

The evaluation was held across 54 centres, and according to reports, it was completed in record time of 14 days.

Students can apply for revaluation or photocopy of the answer sheets at the official website of the Board from May 7 to May 10.

Kerala SSLC SAY or Supplementary examination will be held from May 20 to May 25. The results will be announced in the first week of June.

A preview of the SSLC certificate will be available from May 7 to May 9 on relevant websites. In addition to the original certificate, a digital certificate will also be available in June.
