Apparently, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan does not have an idea about the precise number of his advisers. He gave different answers on the same day, to questions raised in the Assembly by MLAs.

On April 25, while replying to a question posed by Indian Union Muslim League member TV Ibrahim, the CM said that he has got six advisors. Later, on the same day, to a question raised by MLA M Vincent, Pinarayi said that he has got eight advisers.

According to the chief minister’s website, he has six advisors viz. John Britas (media), MC Dathan (science), NK Jayakumar (law), CS Renjith (development), Gita Gopinath (finance) and Raman Srivastava (law and order).

In both the replies, the CM has mentioned that five of the advisers are working for him without any payment.

Following this, the opposition raised a hue and cry and Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan said that he will look into the matter.

Last week, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala had complained in the assembly that the CM skips many questions asked by MLAs in the assembly and that he doesn’t give written answers to all the questions.

He had alleged that 113 questions have gone unanswered and he urged the Speaker to take necessary action to get the answers.

Following this, the CM’s office placed all the answers before the House on Thursday, The Times of India reports.

A few days back, the CM failed to answer the question who the state Police Chief was. The question was raised in the wake of the controversy over reinstating the former DGP TP Senkumar following the Supreme Court order.
