The News Minute | October 22, 2014 | 09:14 am IST The first crematorium for pets in Bangalore has been completed and will begin operations in November, reports Bangalore Mirror. This has made Bangalore the third city in the country after Delhi and Mumbai to have crematoriums for pets. The crematorium, which took around 15 months and Rs 2.35 crore to be made, is said to have two incinerators, one for small animals and the other one for large livestock. "For the religiously inclined, the crematorium will offer a facility for rituals to be done to dispose of a pet's ashes", an official told Bangalore Mirror. The crematorium will also have veterinary doctors to perform post mortem on animals that die due to diseases. Around 20 animals can be cremated per day in the crematorium; however, the cost for cremating has not been fixed yet.
