The Delhi government will provide all help and assistance to trace missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmad, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal assured the missing JNU student's family on Monday.

"I am with you and will do whatever is required to help trace him. It's a very serious matter and the government will not let you down and use all its resources available to help you out," Kejriwal told Najeeb's mother, Fatima Nafees, who met him at his residence. 

"I would leave no stone unturned in helping find Najeeb," Kejriwal was quoted as saying in a statement issued here.

Fatima sought Kejriwal's help in the follow -p being done in the case by the authorities. 

Najeeb, a first year M.Sc student of biotechnology, went missing earlier this month. Hundreds of JNU students have been protesting and demanding speedy inquiry in the case.

Eye witnesses have also informed media that Najeeb was beaten up by a group of students before he went missing.
