An Assistant Commissioner of Police in Punjab who tried to challan a judge of the High Court for parking violation earlier this week has been transferred from the city.
ACP (North) Dhruv Dahiya, I.P.S. of Ludhiana had earlier this week tried to challan a judge when his car was parked in a no-parking zone. The judge and his family had come for shopping in the Mochpura Bazaar.
High drama ensued and the ACP was forced to cancel the challan which he did after initial reluctance. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the judge telephoned the Commissioner of Police Pramod Ban who in turn spoke to the ACP.
The ACP Dhruv Dahiya, a 2012 batch officer has now been transferred as the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dasuya.
Other young officers have taken to Twitter to condemn the young officer's transfer.
Transferred ACP is Dhruv Dahiya, IPS officer, 2012 batch. He was in his first posting. I strongly protest this transfer, as an IPS officer.

If an IPS officer can get transferred for following the law, then you can imagine the situation of a constable.
