Rajiv Gandhi’s assassin Nalini Sriharan, who has spent more than 25 years in prison, will be releasing her 500-page autobiography onNovember 24, 2016.

The Times of India reported that Nalini, now 50, will be sharing her childhood days, her relationship with LTTE operator Sriharan and the scenario under which she became witness to the assassination. It will also include her five-day run as an outlaw, arrest, torture in custody, birth of her child in prison, conviction and jail life.

The climax of the book is said to be the 90-minute secret meeting she had with Priyanka Gandhi on March 19, 2008.

Nalini got married to Sriharan on April 21, 1991 and was two-months pregnant when she was convicted of Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination on May 21, 1991. She had been serving her life sentence with six other accused in the case.

Nalini met Sriharan, a Lankan Tamil when he came looking for a house on rent. After this, Nalini also met Sivarasan who hailed from the same area. In a few days, Sivarasan also brought Dhanu, who acted as a human bomb, and Subha. After the assassination, Nalini had said that she was surrounded by bloodthirsty wolves, reported TOI.

She still maintains that she and her husband were not aware of the assassination and were prisoners of the circumstances and this is what she told Priyanka Gandhi. However, Priyanka kept asking her why they killed her father who was a “good man” and wanted to know who all were behind the assassination but Nalini could not answer much as she was not an LTTE operative, reported TOI.
