Azeefa Fathima

Azeefa (she/her) is a senior reporter, primarily with the Breaking News team. She likes to do in-depth reports on LGBTQIA+ issues, human rights, health and law. Also, an aspiring translator. She is a Ramnath Goenka awardee and a recipient of Project SIREN Award 2024. She was a fellow with the Health Systems Transformation Platform, and is currently a fellow of the Ground Truth Project's Report for the World programme covering caste. She is known to badger her editors to bring the stories out fast. When not breaking news or reporting, she likes to be buried inside a book, preferably in a bean bag, and with one or more cats to accompany her.
